Full Job Description

1. You will act as nurse in charge on shift, being accountable for ensuring that high standards of care are maintained on the ward 2. You will also cover the Trauma senior nurse bleep. This involves coordinating bed capacity on both trauma wards, managing staffing for both wards, and supporting teams both within and external to the Trauma service using your clinical expertise. 3. You will be a senior link nurse for tissue viability within the JR trauma wards. This will include:

  • Being involved in education and teaching (both formal and informal),
  • Incident investigation in relation to skin damage for patients on the trauma wards,
  • Attending harm free assurance meetings alongside the Ward Sister or Matron, and being involved in associated action plans.

    You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
