The delivery of a high quality, effective and compassionate care is the most important role within the organisation. The Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse will be working within the DTC Ward & Ward Services and will be accountable to the DTC Ward Services Sister, working within the Surgical Division.

• Experienced practitioner in Ambulatory Care/Surgical Services.
• Day to day operational management of DTC Ward. To support the band 7 in the delivery of the service by the team or area that you are responsible for or have been delegated the responsibility
• High standards of Professional Practice to ensure quality and safety of patient care, experience and the patient journey
• Monitoring key quality and performance indicators and service pressures and recommending /implementing actions to address them.
• Ensuring necessary / appropriate equipment is available for management treatment needs of the patients covered within the ward area.
• Reporting on workforce requirements for meeting service demand
• Line management of staff working within the service area
• Responsible for staff supervision, annual appraisal, management of attendance and performance, and identifying and facilitating staff training needs.
• Supporting the band 7 in ensuring that clinical services are delivered to a high quality of care and that all compliance requirements such as CQC and contractual requirements are achieved.
