Full Job Description

We are looking for a Band 6 Deputy Sister to join the Gynaecology Ward at the Womens Centre.

The Gynaecology Ward is a 20-bedded unit which is running alongside a 24 hrs triage area and day surgery.

You will contribute to the smooth running of the unit, acting as a role model for junior staff and students, supporting the delivery of compassionate excellence. The post holder will be responsible for the training and development needs of a team of junior staff, with the support of the ward sister. You will work closely with the ward sister and other members of the management team and will deputize for the ward sister in her absence.

We are looking for someone who isConfident in leadership and has excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in Gynaecology. Successful candidate will be able to gain experience by working on the ward, triage unit and day case area.
