Full Job Description

This is an exciting time to join our amazing team in Elderly Rehabilitation at Buckingham Community Hospital as we look to expand our senior nursing team. We welcome enthusiastic, caring and motivated individuals to join our team of multi-disciplinary professionals to provide dynamic, high quality, patient centered care to our service users. This Band 6 role will require someone who really wants to develop themselves in a very supportive environment. You will need to be competent, caring, courageous, and compassionate, with the proven ability to work individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Across every area of Buck Healthcare Trust we continually strive, as a multi-disciplinary team, to offer high quality, evidenced based and holistic care to all our patients. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their commitment to continuously developing professionally whilst supporting junior colleagues in an acute clinical environment.Main duties of the job The post holder is designated to regularly take charge of the ward and provide effective professional and managerial leadership to all staff in the absence of Sister. He/she is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care, maintaining a high standard of nursing care within the framework of Trust policies. He/she will teach and supervise qualified and unqualified staff including basic and/or post basic students, back to nursing students and health care assistants. He/She will be expected to completed clinical audits and implement positive changes to the ward environment following any indications. They will be involved in quality assurance as well as improvement and will work as part of the senior nursing team to monitor safety and improvement.
