Full Job Description

We have a Band 6 recovery vacancy within our busy 8 theatre orthopaedic department
+ Develop the ability to work effectively at a more senior level,
+ Develop the ability to make effective decisions based on all available information and guide the rest of the theatre team to deliver high quality care to our patients,
+ Develop negotiating and motivational skills,
+ Actively participate in the development of yourself and other staff (includes the appraisal process, sickness management of your team members to a certain degree, participation in clinical auditing),
+ Ability to analyse audits, incident reports and risk, taking appropriate action to remedy,
+ Has specialist knowledge across a range of orthopaedic areas and desirable that you have at least 2 years experience
+ Act as a resource for the development and implementation of LocSSIPs, Policies and Standard Operating Procedures
+ Supports the evaluation and implementation of Trust, Divisional and Directorate Quality Priorities,
+ Manage change effectively, establishing appropriate goals and delivering change in a realistic time frame (problem solving),
+ Acts as a role model for professional values and behaviours and supports other staff in their learning and education,
+ Ability to develop and demonstrate leadership skills.
+ Human and material resources management will be within the scope of practice of a senior practitioner.
