Deputy Team Leader (Theatres) Scrub

We are looking for a Deputy Team Leader to assist in the management of the day to day resources to enable the support and assistance of the multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of all aspects of patient care. They will have to maintain a supportive learning environment enabling the team to meet the evolving needs of the service, assist in budgetary and stock control to ensure the provision of a high quality and cost effective service.

The post site is based on the Leigh site within the Day Surgery and is for Scrub, however cross site working at Wigan is required as part of the role when service requirements need. The day surgery unit cover a variety of specialties which include, general surgery, gynaecology, urology, plastics and ophthalmology, so no two days are the same.

We are recruiting to a 28.50 hour per week vacancy, working Monday to Friday., Assist in the management of the day to day resources to enable the support and assistance of the multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of all aspects of patient care and accept the responsibility and accountability for the performance outcomes. To maintain a supportive learning environment enabling the team to meet the evolving needs of the service, assist in budgetary and stock control to ensure the provision of a high quality and cost effective service. To provide a high standard of patient care and skilled expert assistance in all specialities and areas as required. Act as an ambassador for the department in professional settings. Be accountable for the standards of practice within the theatre team promoting a professional patient centred approach to care.
