Are you an Occupational Therapist (OT), Social Worker (SW), or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) seeking a new challenge? We have an amazing 12 month secondment opportunity as a Deputy Team Manager in the Aylesbury Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). This role will to give you the chance to explore your management and leadership skills in a busy dynamic team. You will become an integral part of our experienced and dedicated leadership team, providing exceptional clinical and managerial guidance to the team. Collaborate with a dynamic group of managers and Consultant Psychiatrists to create a supportive and empowering environment for the wider team. As a Deputy Team Manager, you will :

Main duties of the job You'll be contributing to the day-to-day management and operational processes within the team to ensure the safe and effective management of patient care across our service. The successful applicant will be an experienced and enthusiastic practitioner who is passionate about working with mental health service users. The Aylesbury CMHT covers the North Bucks locality and the team is busy, so the post holder will need the ability to demonstrate flexibility to meet competing demands whilst working under pressure. The role offers an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team to develop leadership skills, contribute to service development and service improvement. You will need to be highly skilled, hard-working, organised, be able to demonstrate excellent clinical practice, supervisory skills and experience of supporting junior team members. Experience of working in a community mental health setting is essential for this role.,

Extensive Mental health experience in the community - Leadership and management experience
- Have managed complex caseloads Desirable criteria
- Additional Management or Leadership Training
- Experience of undertaking complaint or incident investigations
- Experience within different mental health settings, SW, Mental Health Nurse or OT qualification, Specialist training in mental health speciality

The multidisciplinary team incorporates RMNs, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychiatrists, Support Workers, Psychologists, Peer Support Workers, Individual Placement Support Employment workers, Pharmacy Technicians, Research Assistants and Mind Information Officers. We also have an excellent administration team. To work within the CMHT, to undertake all aspects of clinical duties as a senior practitioner within the team. To act as care coordinator / Key worker, working with patients with particularly complex needs. To deputies for the CMHT manager and / or community lead when required.
