Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) Mental Health Support Team (MHST) are delighted to be recruiting for the role of Deputy Team Manager to join our team.

B&NES MHST was commissioned in 2020 to provide low intensity CBT to a selected number of schools within the locality. The team are currently providing support to 46% of schools across B&NES. This is an exciting time to join a specialist service which provides timely early intervention to children and young people.

We are looking for a qualified RMN, OT, Social Worker with or without CBT training who will play a key role in the continuing development of the service. You will be confident in recognising, and with support, addressing the service development needs. You will be able to create effective working partnerships with School Staff, Social Care and other key stakeholders. You will work closely with the Clinical Team Manager and Supervisors to help ensure we are a safe and effective clinical team.

This role is working 4 days a week with ideally one of the days being a Friday, if you have any questions regarding the working pattern please call us prior to making an application., You will facilitate good communication and liaison with young people, their families, interfacing with schools/colleges, colleagues within the Trust and across other organisations.

You will be responsible for providing leadership to the team, providing advise on complex cases, liaising with the education settings on clinical cases, unlocking barriers to engagement, building up key relationships, attending national conferences and seminars and reporting information as necessary.

With support from Clinical Supervisors, you will triage referrals and allocate cases to the Education Mental Health Practitioners and Psychologists within the team. Aiming to achieve the target of seeing Children and Young People within 4 weeks of being referred.

This post will suit someone with a passion for working in early intervention and prevention. This is an exciting venture and collaboration between Health, Education, local authority and voluntary sectors.
