Glendon Wood is a new state-of-the-art day case hospital located in Kettering. This new facility is an extension of the services delivered by the nearby Woodland Hospital and the successful candidate will work closely with staff across both sites. The hospital has two laminar flow operating theatres boasting state of the art integrated theatre technology, a purpose built Endoscopy unit, Outpatient consulting rooms and treatment room, Physiotherapy treatment rooms and gym and an imaging unit consisting of MRI & CT scanners, USS, Mammography and X-ray facilities. As a key member of the Senior Clinical Team, the Deputy Theatre Manager will be integral to the delivery of the strategic vision and plan for the hospital as well as providing day to day senior clinical support within the hospital. Reporting directly to the Theatre Manager with a dotted line to the Clinical Lead at Glendon, the successful candidate will oversee both theatres and endoscopy whilst supporting all other clinical areas within the hospital. You will have key responsibilities to include line management of theatre practitioners as well as acting as the Theatre Manager in their absence.

  • NMC/HCPC registration with no restrictions or conditions
  • Experience in a leadership role within Theatre's is essential
  • Experience of working within Endoscopy would be desirable, but not essential
  • Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) would be desirable, but not essential
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Flexible and positive attitude
  • A warm, considerate and empathetic character
