As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a vital role in assisting the Ward Manager in overseeing the daily operations of a mental health ward, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients with complex mental health conditions. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive work environment., As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health conditions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Ward Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations
  • Providing clinical leadership and support to the nursing team
  • Contributing to ongoing assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care
  • Ensuring the delivery of care meets the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individual care plans
  • Supporting and mentoring staff in delivering person-centred care
  • Participating in staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
  • Acting as a positive role model and advocate for patients and their families

    RMN qualification and valid UK NMC Pin
  • Proven experience working with individuals with complex mental health conditions
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding of and commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion in a healthcare setting
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
