Deputy Ward Manager (Registered Nurse) Salary: A£44,000 - A£48,000 DOE + A£5,000 Welcome Bonus + Enhancements Hours: 37.5 hours per week Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full-Time Ready to take the next step in your nursing career? Our client is searching for a dynamic Deputy Ward Manager to join their team at a beautiful facility set within picturesque gardens in Cheadle, Stockport. The facility offers comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults. You'll be working in a CAMHS Low Secure Unit (LSU) dedicated to providing therapeutic and rehabilitative care for young females aged 13-18 with complex needs. Why you'll love this role: As the Deputy Ward Manager , you'll play a key role in leading the ward's nursing team, providing high-quality clinical care, and ensuring effective risk management. You'll assist the Ward Manager in the day-to-day operations, supervise both registered and unregistered staff, and support the delivery of personalized care for the young people in your care. Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior nursing leadership and support to the ward nursing team.
  • Assist with the management and supervision of staff.
  • Implement best practices and support service changes.
  • Lead in clinical decision-making and ensure care meets regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to the development of therapeutic interventions and multidisciplinary team (MDT) practices.
  • Support the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care in a secure, therapeutic setting.
  • What you'll bring:
  • Active NMC registration and valid NMC PIN.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-registration experience, preferably in mental health or learning disabilities.
  • Clinical supervision experience (training is desirable).
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead with compassion and confidence.
  • Computer literacy and a commitment to continuous improvement.
