Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Deputy Ward Manager to join our Sub-Acute Medical/Palliative care ward within YYF. Penallta ward 3/2 is a twenty-eight bedded single room environment. We pride ourselves in providing excellent standards of nursing care to our patients with acute medical conditions, who require acute medical intervention. The required treatment being provided, along with a period of rehabilitation and complex discharge planning. Also, we provide dedicated care to those patients who require specialist palliative care input and end of life care.

Successful Applicants will need to be motivated, enthusiastic and reliable with a passion for providing high quality patient care. Along with an interest in acute medical care and specialist palliative care nursing. We care for our patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can consider several working patterns to support work life balance of our staff. The role will involve flexible working to meet the need of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
