Full Job Description

We currently have a Band 6 vacancy on our Acute Children's Inpatient ward - Northbrook . This is a general paediatric ward which provides 24-hour acute care for up to 15 children and covers all specialities including children needing a level of high dependency care.

Our band 6 team are crucial to providing supportive leadership and high quality care to our patients and families

Our band 6 team lead the day to day delivery of high quality care to children and young people with a range of clinical needs, including those with medical and surgical complaints. No two days are the same!

As a band 6, you would be responsible for the line management of a team of band 5 nurses and band 3 health care support workers. Alongside this, your team would be the lead on various elements of ward setup and safety, and for a number of clinical link roles. This allows all team members to have an input in constantly evaluating and developing our services

We actively provide our nurses with the opportunities to develop within our teams. Do you feel ready for career progression but wish to have support in developing your leadership skills. Are you an enthusiastic nurse who is able to foster inter-professional team working using excellent interpersonal and leadership skills?

We will provide and support you with clinical and management/leadership development for you to develop strong clinical paediatric skills in a supportive environment. If you are passionate about caring for children and their families then we would like to meet you.
