Full Job Description

We are looking for a talented Design Assistant to join the Phase Eight Design team. This opportunity will see you focus on our Eventwear collections and be actively contribute to various aspects of the design process.,

  • Design Assistance: Assist the Eventwear designers in the smooth running of the design process from initial concept to final product
  • Trend and Market Research: Undertake thorough research on industry fashion trends, competitor brands, colour palettes and seasonal runway shows to inform design decision making
  • CAD and Technical Drawings: Maintain up-to-date CAD line-ups and range plan boards, and create detailed specifications for designs as briefed by the designer. Support the preparation of design packs for manufacturers and contribute to the development of embroidery artworks.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle numerous administrative tasks to maintain the efficiency of the Eventwear department, PLEASE NOTE: When attaching your CV or work examples it is very important that you name your files to include your name and not just "cv.doc" or "curriculum vitae.docx" or "my_illustration.jpg".     This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable in-house design experience in a womenswear brand. The ideal applicant will have excellent hand drawing skills and be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) and possess strong organisational and time management skills. A keen eye for detail and a collaborative approach are required in this role.
