Full Job Description

  • Generate part and assembly models in SolidWorks

  • Produce parts lists / bills of materials

  • Assist with the procurement of materials on a competitive price basis

  • Prototyping and testing of products

  • Document, file and prepare new product O&M manuals

  • Build rapport and establish supplier relationships

  • Liaise at all levels; from customers, area sales managers, management team and suppliers

  • Ensure all products are designed in compliance with mandatory requirements

  • Maintain company procedures and improve where possible

  • Identify training needs to assist your career progression and departmental efficiency, Observe and maintain the company's Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.

  • Undertake any other duties that may be required from time to time

  • SolidWorks and AutoCAD competency - Essential, General understanding of engineering principles - Essential

  • Computer competence (Office suite, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) - Essential, Proven flair for industrial product design - Desirable

  • Able to read engineering drawing - Essential, Ability to work flexibly - Essential

  • Team player - Essential

  • Strong prioritisation skills and ability to manage own workload - Essential

  • Multitask and manage multiple projects - Essential

  • Excellent communication skills - Essential, Self-motivated with a 'can do' mentality - Essential
