Design Manager's

About the role Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Design Manager to join our Power T&D division and be responsible for managing the Cabling Design Team. The role will be based in either Derby or London (will need to be able to commute to both locations). We offer a flexible working model and are also open to both full time and part time candidates (including job share). Role purpose: The Design Manager's focus will be to : Proactively support the Cable Systems design activities whether they are standalone or part of multidisciplinary contracts. Proactively support the Cable Systems Chief Engineer and Head of Design Technical to support technology projects and strategic design initiatives. Providing management and leadership to the team. To ensure that design team provides robust and optimal designs and documentation for each individual project. Promote cooperation between the different teams.
