Beechwood is an oversubscribed school with vibrant, ethnically diverse students who together with our staff create a strong community with great ambition and determined to achieve the highest of standards. Expectations are high and students, parents and staff are very proud of their school. We are looking for a part time Technician to join our Design and Technology Department. The candidate will be hardworking, flexible and willing and will enjoy being part of a creative team within the school environment. The successful candidate will support teachers in the delivery of Design and Technology encouraging students in their understanding of their subjects. The daily responsibilities will include the following:

  • the preparation of materials for teaching and learning;
  • the general use, refresh, upkeep and maintenance of all equipment to meet demand and current health and safety requirements;
  • to maintain and replenish stock of materials and equipment including preparation of IT and reprographic resources;
  • support the teaching staff by preparing a safe, clean and pleasant learning environment;
  • support teachers and individual students within the classroom as appropriate;
  • assisting in the display of artwork/projects in the departments and around school.
