Full Job Description

The post holder will act as a point of expertise for all issues relating to the care of vulnerable adults across SWL ICS. This post leads and co-ordinates the SWL ICS adult safeguarding strategy, across the local health economy, providing a strategic overview that encompasses domestic and sexual violence, and PREVENT. You will be expected to focus on place based safeguarding whilst working collaboratively with partners within the SWL system. The post holder will take a lead (the Local Area Contact role) for the LeDeR programme across the borough they are responsible for. The post holder supports all activity required to ensure that the ICS meets its responsibilities in relation to safeguarding adults working effectively with internal and external partners for the betterment of peoples' lives. The role is the designated professional where allegations are made or concerns raised about staff as well as managing and providing oversight of individual complex cases. The designated professional for safeguarding adults provides an advisory role to the borough safeguarding adults board, supporting the ICB representative to the board. The post holder takes a lead for health in working with partners and for taking forward learning for the health economy.
