Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

Wexham School is a friendly and vibrant school with a highly committed staff who want the
best for all our students ensuring they are ambitious and hungry for future triumph. Due to
internal reorganisation we are looking for a dedicated Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to
strategically and operationally lead on all aspects of safeguarding and child protection in the
school.

This is a non-teaching post and you will either have strong safeguarding experience already
in a school or be an experienced social worker or similar in health, police, charity sector, etc.

We, as a school community, have developed a "can do" attitude through collaboration and
effective partnerships. We have an excellent continued professional development
programme for all staff. We are proud to be a non-selective secondary school with a sixth
form, which Ofsted judged to be 'Good' again in all categories in May 2023.

These are exciting times to join us as we near the final stages of an expansion programme.
The school has grown by nearly 400 students since 2020.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all
staff to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection
screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and an
enhanced DBS clearance.

Salary: Level 8 SCP 36 - 41 £46,782 - £51,852 (FTE) including London Fringe Allowance
This can also be Term Time Only where the salary would be £40,104 up to £44,450
