Full Job Description

  • Contribute to design ideas by research and presentation of ideas
  • Prepare design presentations with team and support design ideas with CAD illustrations
  • Participate in selection and development of materials and construction
  • Work with suppliers and factories via written and personal visits when requested
  • Report and work closely with the Senior Design Director, Accessories, to develop and design collections
  • Work closely with Merchandising team in building collections
  • Communicate and coordinate with other teams (e.g. Shoes and Merchandising) on mood boards, materials and collection collaborations
  • Assist on Technical Sheet set up
  • Assist on prototype fitting and correction for designs and constructions for all the collections
  • Attend trade fairs as requested
  • Attend design meetings, merchandising meetings and other relevant meetings related to design, product and commercial reporting as requested
  • Update and administrate collection overview documents
  • Work on other projects when required (i.e. PR and Retail related, special collabs)

    Degree level Education in Fashion or Accessories Design or verifiable Industry-equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in the Design of Luxury Accessories (ideally Women's)
  • European (preferably Italian) Factory and Supplier experience
  • Specialized in luxury accessories design with balance of tradition and directional sensibility
  • Expert technical skill and knowledge of factory capability and supplier base
  • CAD experience for rendering of designs in various software programmes: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and equivalent programmes
  • Strong communication skills in person, via phone and email
  • Languages: English and ideally Italian
  • Strong organizational skills, work ethic and team player mentality
  • Ability to present strong concept and adapt and edit to tangible finished product
  • Special Circumstances
  • Travel to Italy required
  • Absolute understanding and acceptance of Jimmy Choo Design/Product development calendar
  • Adaptability to handle additional category requests based on business needs. As the Jimmy Choo business continues to evolve, new categories, collections and collaborations will be added. Design and development duties will be allocated in the most sensible way keeping in mind the workload of the position and the skill and strengths of the talent in the role
