Despatch Operative

To ensure that all customer orders are picked and packed ready for despatch in a timely and safe manner.

To carry out all tasks and duties in line with the Company Health and Safety Policy Statement and to Standard Operating Procedures

KEY TASKS

To carry out all tasks and duties in line with the Company Health and Safety Policy Statement and to Standard Operating Procedures as follows :

• Process the daily orders accurately, safely and in a timely manner, ensuring the correct procedures are followed - this includes ensuring the correct line of cartridge is picked, packed and packaged correctly ready for despatch


• Liaise with Sales Office personnel in order to ensure despatches are prioritised


• Process the delivery paperwork correctly


• Accurate weekly stock counting and communicating when certain stock lines are low


• Stock rotation


• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping across all workplace areas


• Any other duties within the physical limits and capabilities of the individual, as directed by the Warehouse Stock Control Manager
  
  Proficiency in written, numeracy and computer skills


• Previous despatch experience preferable


• Attention to detail


• Good time management skills


• Good interpersonal/communication skills


• Must be able to meet the needs of the physically demanding tasks of the job role
