Full Job Description

The Development Graduate Programme is a dynamic two-year experience that consists of four rotations, each lasting six months. Throughout these rotations, you will work on a diverse range of projects across different areas of the business, giving you a broad understanding of London Gatwick's operations and strategic priorities. Each rotation will focus on a specific business challenge, where you'll contribute to developing solutions through process improvements, people management, or capital investments in systems and infrastructure. You'll work alongside teams in Construction, Engineering, and IT, gaining exposure to a wide variety of functions. You'll also collaborate with colleagues across the business to support the delivery of strategic projects, all within a structured project governance framework. This hands-on experience will immerse you in key initiatives, including growth strategies, sustainability projects, commercial ventures, and operational efficiency improvements. What will you do?

  • Collaborate on projects aimed at addressing critical business challenges, including process improvements, people management, and infrastructure investments.
  • Work closely with teams in Construction, Engineering, and IT to ensure the successful delivery of key projects.
  • Engage in four distinct six-month rotations, each providing a unique perspective on the business and allowing you to develop skills in multiple areas.
  • Be involved in sustainability efforts and commercial opportunities that drive growth and innovation at Gatwick.
  • Support the development and execution of projects within a structured governance framework, ensuring alignment with the airport's long-term strategy.
  • Dive into a variety of roles and tasks, gaining a well-rounded understanding of operations while contributing to impactful projects across the business.

    Analytical thinking and problem solving - ability to critically assess complex situations, identify challenges, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong data analysis skills to evaluate project needs, performance metrics, and business outcomes.
  • Adaptability and flexibility with a willingness to embrace change and adapt to different roles, teams, and project types across multiple business areas.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, processes, and tools in a dynamic environment.
  • Communication Skills - excellent verbal and written communication to effectively convey ideas, project updates, and solutions to diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Project Management - organisational and planning skills to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

  • Minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant discipline? (graduated 2024 or projected for 2025).
