Job Description Salary: Up to £38,000 + 30% shift premium Location: Stonehouse We are currently recruiting for a number for CNC machinists within Low Volume Manufacturing working a 3 shift pattern (6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm & 10pm - 6am). The purpose of the role is to provide additional programming, setting and operating resource to support the increased production demand of specials and low volume production parts. Responsibilities Setting / Operating CNC machines (Milling or Turning) to the standard set and run times Interpret drawings and use initiative in deciding tooling selection and the method of manufacture Monitor the quality of components using a wide range of equipment including CMM inspection and complete departmental quality documentation Generate new component part programmes with the aid of Gibbs CAM programming software and subsequent prove out of new processes Key requirements Applicants must have served an apprenticeship and have, expertise in using a variety of

manual and CNC machine tools, including milling and turning Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate with design engineers in all areas of the business Good PC skills are essential Desirable requirements A comprehensive knowledge of CNC machining with some programming knowledge is desirable. A sound knowledge of manufacturing methodology to ensure that new processes are both capable and efficient.
