Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Development Support Officer in our Training and Development Centre team in Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service. The successful candidate will be self-motivated to offer support to our firefighters in their development role. Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service currently have development firefighters in service. The Development Support Officer role will be to support and develop these firefighters in their journey to achieving competency. They will also be expected to support in e-learning and relevant training packages to support firefighters' competence. They will offer coordinated assessor support, independent assessment and to contribute to internal verification at a senior level. Relevant qualifications in assessing are required. Verifying would be advantageous although training will be offered. They will be expected to ensure that up to date records are maintained on WFRS systems for Fire fighters during and post competency development. To offer support to the TADC staff and be valued member of the team. The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own time with flexible working. Based out of the TADC Kingsbury office the candidate will be required to go to fire stations in Warwickshire to offer the support to individuals as and when required including some out of hours working.
