Full Job Description

Do you have experience of working with addressing data or maintaining a Gazetteer database? Do you want to work on the largest Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG) in the Country? If we have grabbed your attention, then read on to find out more. We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our LLPG and Addressing team where you will assist our Address Custodian in maintaining our LLPG and Statutory Street Naming and Numbering (SNN) function. If you have experience of maintaining, updating and data cleansing of addresses, matching address data sets then this may be the role for you. You will be accustomed to dealing with large datasets in a thorough and logical manner. Site visits will be required, so the ability to move about Birmingham is essential. The post would suit someone with skills in GIS and knowledge of statutory processes governing building and construction processes and the associated legislation, policies and practice of street naming and property numbering. This is a varied role with responsibility for the complete life cycle of addresses where your experience and enthusiasm will make a real difference by contributing to our programme of continuous improvement of addressing within Birmingham and striving to our goal of achieving gold standard across all performance indicators.
