What will you be doing? In this role, you will lead a team that is responsible for purchasing, inbound and exit of all VF UK brand new devices. You will need to establish close relationships with Supply Chain colleagues, Trading, Commercial and Operations teams and work with them to ensure best in class product availability, funding and stock risk is achieved. The role requires attention to detail but also a high degree of commercial understanding and supply chain experience to navigate the complexity of the Vodafone business. You must be able to manage many conflicting goals, deal with ambiguity, take ownership and communicate complex situations in an impactful and simple way to senior managers.,

  • Run collaborative inbound planning meetings with vendors, ensuring all targets will be met via a well-managed/communicated process.
  • Regularly provide senior managers with information required to highlight any stock risks or vendor issues in a simple and clear manner.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure stock is available for all new launches and communication to customers, vendors and internal stakeholders is timely, clear, accurate and consistent at all times.
  • Manage the process for customer facing stock availability data and work with internal stakeholders to ensure any issues are escalated and resolved for impacted customers in a timely manner.
  • Simplify and improve supply chain processes including building collaborative relationships across the Device Operations Team and vendors, measuring performance of self and vendors to achieve supply chain excellence.
  • Minimise obsolete stock, proactively communicate to relevant teams, drive commercial decisions to reduce it and coordinate the disposal of it when needed.
  • Drive Supply Chain commercial and operational best practice across the team.

    We're looking for someone with experience in a Supply Chain demand or supply planning role and experience of supply planning tools. In addition to this, you will have:
  • Proven ability of growing and developing a team.
  • Supply Chain Management Expertise across the whole product lifecycle, including strong commercial and operational understanding.
  • Strong influencing, collaboration and communication skills within a trading environment.
  • Utilise demand planning and vendor relationships to optimise KPI performance.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to deal with a large amount of data.
  • Take ownership of vendor portfolio once confirmed, apply knowledge of new product intro\end of life to drive an effective supply plan.
