Personalised Experiences and Communications (PEC) is a business platform that sits within Consumer Relationships. PEC enables & delivers personalised customer communications & experiences across all channels, media and business areas supporting the Customer Relationship Growth strategy.

As a DevOps Engineer you'll lead, direct and shape approaches to solving technical challenges and translating business requirements into technical solutions. You will work in a highly collaborative way to drive efforts to create, build, support and improve our software working closely with the product and engineering teams with lots of exciting new challenges. You'll be a core contributor to ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed in accordance with engineering transformation strategy.

What will I be doing?

  • Build the deployment processes for Microservices on both Private and Public cloud

  • Focus on the DevOps elements of the software engineering role, helping us to deploy software regularly and smoothly while continuously improving and developing our processes

  • Learn and implement the best use of DevOps tools, like Jenkins, source control platforms such as GIT, plus how to containerise and maintain our infrastructure platform

  • Involved in building DevOps pipeline and maintaining It

  • Configuring Urban Code Deploy

  • Configuring tools that do automated test script

  • Design and implement secure Automation solutions for our Develop, test and production environments

  • Build and deploy automation Monitoring and analysis solution

  • A software engineering or database engineering background that has a solid understanding of DevOps practices, processes and supporting tools

  • Strong Software Engineering and pipeline background preferably Java based

  • Proven experience and understanding of modern engineering practices

  • DevOps Tools (CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus, GIT, Docker Containers)

  • Test Automation Tools Junit, Cucumber, Selenium, Postman

  • Passion for collaborating with other engineers and building a strong team culture

    Application Servers: WAS & Liberty & Linux

  • Kubernetes

  • Rancher

  • Exposure to cloud technologies like Azure or GCP are highly desirable.
