Full Job Description
The post holder will retain their substantive post (if an internal candidate) but will be working towards a Diagnostic Radiography Degree Apprenticeship over a period of 3 years. This involves both on the job and off the job learning in conjunction with Sheffield Hallam University and clinical placements. During the apprenticeship the post holder will perform all the elements in this job description as a learner and under the direct supervision of a registered practitioner. The clinical placement will be overseen by the Radiology Clinical Practice Educator. The post holder will also work part of their hours as a Radiology Assistant, these hours will be worked around the needs of the service, they will include weekends, bank holidays and out of hours working. This will also include overtime shifts.

This is a varied and exciting post; the Diagnostic Radiography Apprentice will be are exposed to all elements of the Radiology department including Plain Film, CT/MRI, Ultrasound and DXA.
The appointment will be 37.5 hours per week, this will include working weekends, bank holidays and out of hours.
