Full Job Description

Act as first point of contact on behalf of the Dialysis Vascular Access and wider Renal Service, deal effectively and courteously with all enquiries from GPs patients, other departments within the Trust and any other external organisations.

Liaising with colleagues regarding appointments and necessary important clinical information to ensure patients are seen on their pathway without delay.

Ensure RTT patient data quality is accurate at all times

Act as key point of contact for health service employees at all levels, both within the Trust and outside agencies.

Accurately transcribing from Winscribe digital dictation all clinical letters and other correspondence as required by the consultant and team, ensuring layout, spelling, grammar and punctuation is consistent and within specified timescales

Attend meetings as requested, taking minutes as appropriate.

Use judgement and initiative to prioritise the importance/urgency of particular requests within defined guidelines

Adapt a flexible attitude to meet the needs of the service, taking into consideration each department's unique specialty and the subsequent requirements of such specialist services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Waiting List Co-ordinator to the Dialysis Vascular Access Team within the Renal Department at Kent & Canterbury Hospital.

We require a high standard of organisational skills in order to provide an efficient administrative service to the Access Team and the wider service. This role will keep you both busy and challenged.

You must be highly motivated with excellent communication skills, an ability to use your own initiative and work well under pressure. You will be adaptable, reliable and a proven team member with good qualifications and/or experience. Knowledge of working in a hospital environment and medical terminology is desirable. You will be working with a wide range of people and communicating with both patients and staff, therefore empathy and patience is essential for this role
