Join us in making a meaningful impact!, To work under the supervision of the Specialist Weight Management Dietitians to provide weight management support for patients seen in the outpatient setting.

To work as part of the multidisciplinary Specialist Weight Management team, under the supervision of the Specialist Weight Management Dietitians, supporting the provision of high-quality weight management support for patients.
2. To work under the supervision of Specialist Weight Management Dietitians, to provide follow up for patients requiring weight management support, using behavioural management techniques to overcome barriers to change.
3. To undertake a comprehensive anthropometric, clinical and social assessment of Specialist Weight Management patients
4. Facilitating weight management patient group sessions, to support behaviour change
5. To undertake data collection for the National Obesity Audit
6. To obtain patients, weight, height and calculate BMI
7. To obtain patients' biochemical results using EPR as requested by Specialist Weight Management dietitians using defined criteria.
8. To review selected patients with a care plan in place by Specialist Weight Management Dietitians to assess progress towards goals
9. To liaise with Specialist Weight Management Dietitians and the wider multi-disciplinary team regarding patient monitoring and progress
10. To correspond with referrers into the Specialist Weight Management service about patient care
11. To support the discharge of patients from the Specialist Weight Management service
12. To develop dietetic displays relating to Specialist Weight Management
Management
13. Maintain and keep up to date patient / client records in accordance with departmental guidelines
14. To receive telephone enquiries, dealing with as appropriate, in a polite and courteous manner.
15. To assist in admin and clerical tasks as appropriate, in the absence of clerical staff and order nutritional products as required in the absence of dietetic assistant.
16. To attend multidisciplinary meetings
17. To participate in department projects or audits as required
Training and Development
18. To support the organisation, delivery, monitoring and audit of education for patients or healthcare professionals in relation to Specialist Weight Management
19. To prepare information for nutrition education within speciality
Professional
20. To communicate nutrition information in an understandable form to staff, clients and carers, requiring negotiation, persuasion skills including situations where there are barriers to understanding or communication.
21. To comment on departmental guidelines and procedures and be involved in any forward planning of Dietetic services within the Trust
22. To keep up to date with developments in dietetics participating in appropriate training and development activities
23. Participate in personal reviews and work to achieve agreed set objectives.
24. To ensure that all Trust wide standards are maintained and monitored to improve the quality of total care to all who come into contact with services provided by University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.
