Full Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Dietitian to join our department provide a service to a variety of inpatient and outpatient areas including respiratory, diabetes, surgical and care of the elderly, paediatrics and oncology depending on the band 5 rotation. You should be a good team worker and be able to use your initiative. If you enjoy working as part of a team and are keen to change and innovate practice this is the job for you. This is a wonderful opportunity to develop clinical and professional skills within a dynamic and supportive team. This post is suitable for newly qualified Dietitians or Band 5 Dietitians looking for further experience.
The post holder will work closely with our Senior Dietitians who will help train and support you along with providing opportunities of experiencing other areas of dietetics. New ways of working and evaluating our practice through audit are strongly encouraged in our team and hospital trust. Developing resources and carrying out audits will be encouraged to maintain our high profile within the hospital. We provide student training and will be expecting the post holder to contribute., This post offers excellent opportunities for professional and personal development. The department is committed to CPD and we offer a wide range of in-house training. You will be invited to regular professional update meetings across the whole team. In addition we are closely connected with our colleagues across Dorset and run a Dorset wide education and networking event twice yearly.
You need to be an excellent communicator with experience of group work. The department is actively involved in the teaching and training of nursing and medical staff and there would be an opportunity to develop your skills in this area.
