Full Job Description

As an inspiring & organised individual, you will drive forward quality improvement, governance activities, staff health initiatives & pre or post registration training. Whether working towards your band 7 competencies or applying with a wealth of leadership experience you will be highly supported with regular personal development meetings and peer support from other dietetic team leaders.

With advanced clinical knowledge, interpersonal skills, & leadership qualities you will be responsible for the delivery of dietetics in diabetes, lipid disorders, and respiratory weight management, across the two sites. For TGH, you will also guide your team in the provision of nutritional inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, neurology, medicine, and orthopaedic services.

Alongside another team lead dietitian, you'll support your team of four dietitians and dietetic assistant to deliver, evaluate & improve practice to ensure high quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care.

A nutritional expert in your field you will provide supervision to post & pre-registration dietitians. Proposing learning opportunities, contributing to competency achievement, & coaching them to advance their own professional practice.

A highly experienced autonomous practitioner with a recognised dietetics degree or equivalent & registered with the HCPC; you'll assess the nutritional condition of patients with complex needs, make comprehensive dietetic diagnoses, request diagnostic tests, give treatment options, & provide evidenced-based advice. As the consistent practitioner, you'll review outcomes, & adapt care plans to facilitate patient centred goals.

As a valued member of multi-disciplinary services, you'll build good working relationships with highly skilled nurses, doctors, psychiatrists & other allied health professionals. Working together to achieve the best outcome for your patients., Disability Confident
