Full Job Description

You will deliver a service to adult nutritional support patients across our wards, in a mixture of speciality areas including Orthopaedics, general medicine, surgery, respiratory, vascular and Urology. You will work closely with experienced dietitians, learning from them and gaining an insight into the treatment of complex patients on the specialist units including Gastroenterology, Colorectal surgery and Critical care.
We are a friendly team of 13 Dietitians and assistants and we support flexible working where feasible., The caseload will include a Band 5 dietitian led clinic and opportunities to deliver staff and patient education sessions. You will provide dietetic intervention to support patients in the areas of oral nutrition support, enteral tube feeding and after training, parenteral nutrition.
You will maintain clinical responsibility for your own caseload, working with supportive dietetics assistants and will contribute to the Nutrition & Dietetic Service as a whole, through participation in service developments including audit, patient experience and resource development., As a large NHS trust we are committed to enhancing the health of our local population by delivering consistently high standards of care and working closely with local authorities and key partners.
