Are you experienced in digital communications and eager to shape the strategy of a leading NHS Trust? Black Country Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Digital Communications Officer for an exciting new challenge. If you have a background in delivering creative digital communications, managing website content, social media platforms, online PR, and stakeholder engagement, we want to hear from you. In this role, you will engage key audiences, including patients, staff, and health organisations, to enhance the Trust's digital presence. Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will coordinate digital activities across platforms, support the production of digital content, and contribute to key projects. You'll also lead digital initiatives that align with Trust objectives, working closely with the Communications team to develop effective strategies. Strong communication skills, a flexible approach, and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential for success., As a Digital Communications Officer, you will lead and develop digital communications strategies, working within an innovative Communications Team to engage internal and external communities effectively. You will enhance the Trust's digital presence, supporting key services and driving initiatives such as digital briefings and project support. Your responsibilities include maintaining the Trust's website and intranet, ensuring they are engaging, accessible, and user-friendly. You will create compelling content to increase site traffic, manage social media channels, and build influence on platforms such as X, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. In this role, you will utilise analytics to assess the effectiveness of digital communications, making data-driven improvements, and horizon scanning for emerging digital innovations to enhance engagement with stakeholders. You will also produce designed and multimedia content, such as videos and infographics, ensuring all materials align with the Trust's branding guidelines while supporting key projects and services., 1. To develop and lead digital communications and projects, working within a dynamic and innovative Communications Team to deliver effective digital strategies and plans that engage both internal and external communities. This includes driving initiatives that enhance the Trust's digital presence and communication efficiency, including digital briefings and project support to key services. 2. Maintaining and developing the Trust's public-facing website, ensuring that it is engaging, accessible, and easy to navigate. You will create compelling online content that not only drives more visitors to the site but also ensures they can easily find the information they need while maintaining their interest. 3. Working with the team to build our influence on social media (including X, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn) by producing and managing engaging content across all channels. This includes monitoring social media trends, driving positive online PR, and identifying opportunities for audience engagement and growth. 4. Maintaining and developing our staff intranet as a key communications tool, ensuring that it effectively engages staff, provides up-to-date information, and fosters internal communication. You will work to ensure the intranet remains a valuable resource for employees, promoting collaboration and access to essential updates. 5. Utilising appropriate analytics to assess the effectiveness of digital communications, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations for improvement. You will be responsible for monitoring key performance indicators across digital platforms to ensure continuous optimisation, including monitoring stakeholder engagement across all digital channels. 6. Horizon scanning for emerging digital innovations that may benefit the Trust by improving how we engage with internal and external stakeholders. You will evaluate new tools and technologies to determine how they can enhance the Trust's digital communication efforts, particularly in project support and stakeholder engagement. 7. Producing designed content, including publications, leaflets, advertisements, website and intranet banners, posters, presentations, and more, ensuring that all materials are visually compelling and aligned with the Trust's objectives, while supporting the communications needs of key services and projects. 8. Producing multi-media content for our online channels, including videos, animations, and infographics, ensuring that all content is dynamic and engaging to a broad audience across various digital platforms. This includes content that supports project work and key service initiatives. 9. Ensuring consistent and accurate use of the Trust's brand, supporting colleagues across the Trust to comply with identity and style guidelines, and ensuring all digital and print communications reflect the organisation's branding standards. You will also ensure that project-related communications adhere to these guidelines. General duties: + 1. Support the team in the production and distribution of high quality print/online publications. This may include sourcing copy and images, writing copy, proof reading, liaising with external suppliers and distributing materials. + + 2. Contribute to monitoring the Communications and Engagement's team email inbox and telephone line, helping to progress enquiries efficiently and professionally. + 3. Represent the Communications and Engagement team at internal and external meetings. + + 4. Undertake general administration tasks such as raising purchase orders and updating databases. + 5. To undertake any other duties of a similar nature consistent with the responsibilities of this post in order to provide a quality communications and engagement service.

The salary range quoted is as per NHS Agenda for Change pay structures. This is based on the number of years' working directly within the NHS at the advertised pay band. Experience gained with other NHS Trusts will apply, but candidates without prior experience working direct for the NHS would normally be appointed at the lowest point unless they can demonstrate the equivalent experience and then be eligible for incremental increases in future years. Successful applicants for clinical posts up to and including Band 4 are expected to hold the national Care Certificate qualification and will be supported to attain this once in post.
