Are you a creative wordsmith with a passion for storytelling and a knack for digital media?
We are seeking a dynamic Digital Content Executive to join our vibrant Digital Content team on an initial 4-month fixed-term contract. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with our Digital Content Manager to craft and deliver captivating content that embodies the Penguin Brand and resonates with our diverse audience.
You'll collaborate with various departments and Publishing Houses across Penguin to produce engaging written content for our website, social media platforms, newsletters, and podcasts. If you're ready to make an impact in the world of publishing and connect with readers everywhere, we'd love to hear from you., Collaborate on the development and implementation of content marketing campaigns for digital platforms, including websites, social media, email, and podcasts.
Pitch content ideas for campaigns based on audience insights and data to internal stakeholders.
Plan and write engaging website content to support content marketing campaigns.
Support the Penguin Podcast with content planning, guest booking, recording logistics, and coordination with the production company.
Check podcast scripts, upload final files to Acast with correct metadata, and update the Podcast hub on the Penguin website.
Organise books, assets, and author time in coordination with Publishing Houses.
Collaborate with our Consumer Loyalty team to survey Newsletter audiences for content insights and community building.
Brief our Creative Design team on assets for podcasts and content campaigns.
Create edit, and proofread content using a CMS, and provide administrative support by processing invoices and maintaining budget trackers., Please ensure you include a cover letter, as it is a crucial part of our assessment process. The cover letter offers an opportunity to show how your experience and interests align with the role requirements. Typically, we expect the cover letter to be no more than one or two pages in length.
Please note we are looking for someone to join the team as soon as possible, but we are also happy to accommodate a reasonable notice period for the right candidate.
We anticipate a two-stage interview process which may include a virtual first-stage interview and in-person second stage interview. We are happy to discuss this further with you throughout the recruitment process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.
Strong organisational skills and project management abilities.
Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
Attention to detail and commitment to high editorial standards.
Preferred criteria:
Experience using content management systems, ideally WordPress.
Proficiency with analytic tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe.

Hybrid working
While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important.
