Full Job Description
The Digital Content Officer is a key role in our new Technology and Digital service, responsible for the management of updates, content improvements to Southwark's corporate website, intranet and other key websites., 1. Responsible for managing, coordinating the digital content offer on our public facing website and internal intranet.
2. Responsible for leading on, coordinating and championing the development of existing website, intranet and other Southwark websites.
3. Work closely with colleagues in Digital, Customer Experience and Technology Transformation to ensure the website is fit for purpose, presenting recommendations for improvement and digital first, to meet the objectives of the Digital and Technology, and Customer Access Strategies.
4. Responsible for project managing the implementation of a new website, content, and analytics software to ensure the organisation makes the best use for its residents, businesses and visitors.
5. Ensure the website is run as a project, delivered to scope, within budget and to agreed timeframes
6. Working with multidisciplinary teams of stakeholders from a variety of business areas, share and use the latest data and research for communications activity including measurement and evaluation of them.
7. To lead on the use of Google Analytics, reporting and BI to ensure our website is fully up to date, ensuring our users get to their destination with as few clicks as possible
8. To be the lead for the external website, including planning, using, developing and integrating channels to increase engagement with residents and build our audiences.
9. To write new content, campaigns and lead on the development of new 'writing for the web' course for staff, ensure our style is consistent across all business areas.

These roles will sit within the Digital Delivery function, but may work across projects in any area, and will work across the organisation on digital and web projects., Experience of working with content management systems, social media channels, and other content systems

The post holder will have an excellent eye for detail, design and writing skills, and will be updating content, analysis web statistics, using platforms such as Google Analytics and user experience and feedback to ensure the website is easily accessible and useable for our residents, business users, and visitors., The person specification is a picture of skills, knowledge and experience required to carry out the job., Educated to college or A-level, or work experience of at least equivalent level, Experience, in a complex organisation with a strong customer focus, with experience of supporting a large user base
