Full Job Description

This position is ideal for design students or recent graduates who are looking to gain an insight into life in an agency or commercial environment. The internship will provide a valuable opportunity to get hands-on design experience in the pharmaceutical industry. As a Digital Design Intern at Costello Medical, you will support with a wide range of digital projects, including the creation of interactive content for conferences and events, the development of digital marketing materials such as HTML emails, web banners and social media graphics, as well as the design, maintenance, and testing of new and existing website and web applications. We are therefore looking for talented individuals with a great understanding of aesthetics and a meticulous attention to detail. This internship involves close collaboration with experienced members of the Creative team who will provide full training on the technical aspects of the role and effective client communication. A high level of organisation and flexibility is essential as you will be working on multiple projects at a time. Therefore, our Interns are able to work from home 1 day per week. Career Prospects After the Internship

This internship is suited to recent graduates as well as current students who are permitted to complete full time internships either during the holidays or through a placement as a part of their degree. We also welcome applications from those looking to start their career in digital design.,

  • A degree level or higher qualification in a design-related discipline (minimum 2.1 or expected 2.1), in addition to a highly innovative portfolio. We welcome applications from candidates with a diverse range of specialisms, including but not limited to; Digital Design, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, Media and Communications, Computer Science and Art
  • Experience with UI/UX design for a wide range of digital channels
  • Technical knowledge of email/web/application development
  • Working knowledge of Figma, as well as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Familiarity with other software in the Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A high level of productivity and the flexibility to respond to changing deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build robust and sustainable working relationships
  • Practical experience with HTML and CSS, as well as familiarity with digital marketing, is desirable but not essential for this role.
  • Although no previous experience in the scientific industry is required, an interest in applying digital design to the healthcare sector would be an advantage.

The Recruitment Process Our recruitment process starts with a self-recorded video interview via our online application system, which is then reviewed by a member of the Talent Acquisition team. If successful, you will be invited to a final interview with senior members of our Creative team, which includes a portfolio review. Our standard recruitment process typically lasts around 2 to 3 weeks, however this can be adapted if necessary.

  • Responsibilities: You will be involved in all stages of a wide range of digital projects for our clients within the healthcare sector, from initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity
  • Salary: A monthly stipend of £2,150
  • Benefits: Statutory holiday allowance, flexible working hours and the chance to work from home 1 day per week, employer pension contributions, as well as funded social activities
  • Role Type: Full-time, temporary internship
  • Start Date: This role will ideally commence on Monday 2nd December 2024. However, we can also consider applications from those seeking a deferred start date in early 2025. You will be asked to state your availability on your application form
  • Location: This role is available in our Global Headquarters in Cambridge, as well as our London, Manchester, and Bristol offices, The stipend for interns is £2,150 per calendar month, and you will be entitled to statutory holiday.
