Full Job Description

Working in the Digital and Publishing team as a Digital Engagement Officer, you will support Digital Account Managers to deliver digital content and engagement strategies for select committees. You will understand the needs of different select committees and which platforms and channels to use to reach their audiences.

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:

  • Support the planning and delivery of digital campaigns, contributing to shared content calendars and planning sessions.

  • Account manage a small number of committees in relation to digital content, engagement and publishing, including taking responsibility for content calendars.

  • Create and publish digital content to committee channels to best practice standards and house style guides, including updating web pages, news stories, and posting to social media channels.

  • Produce creative digital content for committee channels, including graphics and short videos.

  • Support the evaluation of digital campaigns, actively contributing to team content and campaign analyses and sharing lessons learned.

    Experience supporting the day-to-day management of social media channels including scheduling, posting and monitoring and the ability to evaluate content strategies

  • Experience of applying an audience/user-centric approach to digital communications work, including using analytics and user research and applying digital best practice.

  • Understanding of digital community management including driving engagement and audience growth online.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including a proven ability to adapt messages for different audiences.

  • Proven ability to work successfully across different workstreams, managing time effectively and resolving conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.
