Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Digital Experience Manager to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months whose role will be to define and deliver integrated Digital Experiences across key RNLI products, which in turn contribute to the RNLI's objectives of saving more lives, relevance and financial stability of the Institution. The role is a key part of our technology leadership team in a strategically crucial and expanding area, reporting to the RNLI's Head of Digital & Technology Futures. It is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a compelling Digital Experience ("Digital First") strategy that drives brand value and, above all, meaningfully connects supporters, donors and other communities that we serve via the teams managed by this role, the Digital Production team, Digital Performance team, Digital Platforms team and Search Engine Marketing Lead, Digital Marketing Operations Lead, supported by many other related organisational SME's.

This is an important role for us, and the ideal candidate will be someone with a track record of increasing Digital income through a variety of channels and embedding Data and User Experience in all that we do through an integrated omni-channel Digital approach. The role holder will be expected to work closely with Social Media, Marketing, Data and broader colleagues for shared outcomes. We are particularly keen that applicants are also able to demonstrate senior delivery experience, using Scrum with an ability to scope large multi-channel projects - supporting on the BAU plan, managing programme profitability, and coordinating activities to ensure that programme outcomes are positive and client needs are met. A key part of this role will be to evolve our maturity across Digital to increase capability and effectiveness with tangible results. We are looking for an individual capable of acting as a consultant to business colleagues, who can work collaboratively, but with clear leadership qualities. You will be the RNLI's expert in this space and will play an important part in managing the department's relationship with key technology stakeholders and suppliers, and in turn able to adapt styles effectively between technical and non-technical interactions. You will be someone who expects the best, knows what this looks like and has the ability to inspire, support and challenge your colleagues to achieve this through agility, collaboration, pragmatism and an evolving but demonstrable maturity model. If you too are results focused, people focused, passionate about delivering great outcomes in a complex and progressive technology environment with multiple stakeholders, to support the saving of lives at sea, then please apply today.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is a charity that provides a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service, seasonal lifeguards, and water safety education and initiatives. Our lifeboat crews and lifeguards need a dedicated, professional and talented team behind them, and that is where you come in. This is your chance to join that team and help save lives every day. Working together with partners and communities, we aim to educate, influence, supervise and rescue those at risk from drowning. By 2024, we're aiming for a 50% reduction in drowning in the UK and Ireland, and effective drowning prevention strategies around the world. We see digital technologies as crucial in helping us achieve this goal.
