Full Job Description

We are looking for a new team member to join our experienced Marketing & Business Development Team, based at our Head Office in Carlisle, to assist with the delivery of our digital marketing strategy, optimise our online presence and support our cross channel marketing campaigns. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about digital marketing and is keen to apply and develop those skills further. The Digital Marketing Executive will assist the Marketing Manager to translate strategic plans into effective tactical digital marketing activities and feedback results. This will include maintaining and updating the firm's websites, creating digital marketing campaigns, and working alongside other members of the team to deliver key objectives around traffic growth, customer acquisition, and retention and profitability. The main elements of this role will include:

  • Preparing digital and content marketing plans in conjunction with the wider Marketing Service Line strategy
  • Being a guardian of the Armstrong Watson brand in visual and written content
  • Developing the firm's website and ensuring the content aligns with Armstrong Watson's brand and values
  • Facilitating digital marketing campaigns over multiple channels such as CRM, Google Ads, Paid Social, YouTube, Google My Business and Affiliates etc
  • Measuring and reporting online activity across all digital platforms using digital tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Bit.ly, Google Ad Manager, Facebook Business Manager and Hootsuite etc
  • Optimising and analysing digital channels / campaigns to drive successful performance
  • Seeking new digital opportunities through competitor and keyword research, and utilising digital tools such as SEM Rush
  • Analysing website traffic and advert engagement data and reporting findings to the wider team and firm in a clear and concise manner
  • Working with key internal stakeholders on the facilitation of digital integration projects such as CRM initiative, Customer Portal and Recruitment Softwares etc

  • A minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role and / or hold a digital marketing related degree or equivalent
  • Confident using Google Ads, Google My Business and have experience of setting up Google Keyword and Social Media Advertising Campaigns
  • Experience in digital marketing across key marketing channels with a good understanding of both paid and organic channels
  • Confident using Google Analytics (GA4)
  • Experience of managing social media pages
  • A sound working knowledge of current digital marketing practices
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with high-levels of enthusiasm and have the ability to work well to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desirable
  • Knowledge of basic coding language such as HTML and CSS
  • Experience of using Social Media Scheduling Software
  • Graphic Design competency and be able to use Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to use Email distribution software such as Campaign Monitor, and Mailchimp etc
  • Experience of using a CRM system, specifically inputting and drawing down data
  • Experience of using video editing software
