Full Job Description

Our organisation is growing rapidly and we are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to support this growth across the BCC and ChamberCustoms brands.

A vital part of the team, this position involves developing and executing social media strategies, producing multimedia content, managing and optimising website content, implementing SEO and SEM initiatives, and analysing performance metrics.

The postholder will also play a key role in the promotion of the Business Council and other partnership opportunities. As such, another crucial element of the role involves creating digital sales strategies, planning online advertising campaigns, and providing insights to drive BCC brand awareness, engagement, traffic, and revenue growth.

They will be a central player in the BCC Comms team and will closely engage with both internal colleagues and the wider Chamber Network.
Duties and Responsibilities

Social media (across BCC and ChamberCustoms accounts)

Social Media Strategy and Execution

  • Create and implement a social media strategy (both planned and reactive) to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth.

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on social media performance metrics, and adjust strategies as necessary.


  • Multimedia Content Production
  • Create and edit multimedia content, including graphics, videos and infographics.

  • Create, target, send and report on e-newsletters.


  • Website

    Website Management
  • Maintain and update website content to ensure its current, relevant and optimised for search engines.

  • Work with web agency and internal BCC team to improve the user experience and functionality of the website.


  • SEO and SEM Initiatives
  • Implement and manage SEO and SEM strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive targeted traffic to website.

  • Conduct keyword research, optimise website content, and manage paid search campaigns.

  • Provide recommendations to drive and improve visitor traffic.


  • Analytics and Reporting
  • Track, analyse and report on website performance and provide regular updates and insights to inform future strategies and tactics.

  • Conduct competitor research to ensure our website is best in class.


  • Commercial Support

    Digital Sales Strategy Development
  • Develop and implement digital sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.

  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.


  • Online Advertising and Campaigns
  • Plan, execute and optimise social media growth strategies (both paid and organic) across digital channels, including social media, search engines, and display networks, optimising content to engage with new audiences.

  • Monitor campaign performance, analyse data, and provide actionable insights to improve ROI.

    Proven experience in developing and executing successful social media strategies, with a strong track record in enhancing brand awareness and engagement.

  • Proven experience in driving sales.

  • Proficiency in creating and editing multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and infographics, using relevant software tools.

  • Experience in website management and optimisation (preferably WordPress), including content updates, SEO, SEM, and collaboration with web agencies to improve user experience and functionality.

  • Analytical skills to track, analyse, and report on social media and website performance metrics, with the ability to adjust strategies based on data insights.

  • Experience in developing and implementing digital sales strategies, analysing market trends, and planning and optimising online advertising campaigns across various digital channels.

  • Brand awareness, able to understand the difference between the British Chambers of Commerce and ChamberCustoms brand and tone of voice.

  • An enthusiastic self-starter with a collaborative approach and good interpersonal and collaborative skills.

  • Able to work with high degree of autonomy, manage priorities and workload within objectives set by the Head of Marketing and Membership Comms.
