More about the Role

The main purpose of the Digital Marketing Lead role is to support the Marketing Manager in the implementation and development of
the SPAR UK and James Hall Digital Marketing Strategy. You will hold a pivotal role in driving the business forward through
digital initiatives and will represent the company on key SPAR UK working groups.

Here's What You Can Expect to be Doing

  • With overall responsibility for all digital activity, you will continually develop, implement, track, and optimise the

  • businesses digital marketing strategy to ensure digital growth.

  • Support and guide the digital marketing team in each of their roles, which range from Social Media Management, B2B Digital

  • Communications, E-Commerce & Traffic Generation, Digital Content Creation, Google Local & Master Data Maintenance.

  • Support the Marketing Manager with a wide range of projects, initiatives and the implementation of our national & local digital

  • marketing strategy.
  • Implement and develop our paid for digital marketing activity, working closely with external agencies.


  • Develop and find new ways to engage with our customers, looking at the future possibilities of e-commerce and digital

  • marketing.

  • Play a key role in the development and implementation of our selling plan strategy.


  • Develop, implement and lead all digital marketing campaigns for the business, both national & local initiatives to help drive

  • sales & profit.

  • Support for events we hold throughout the year for both retailers and employees.

    Professional/relevant marketing qualifications.

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is desirable although not essential as training will be given.
