Full Job Description

The Digital Marketing Platforms Manager will be responsible to define and drive the Digital Product vision, strategy & roadmap, in line with customer expectation and business marketing strategy.

Provide overall ownership and understanding of our business needs and external market capabilities, to develop and implement Canon's digital marketing platform initiatives.

Act as the Product Manager/Product Owner for all B2B Marketing Platforms (in accordance with SAFE methodology) - the current platforms are B2B Website, C2C, Partner Portal, Marketing Automation and gating solution.
The focus will be maximising the value delivered through our digital products mentioned above, covering their B2B customer audience.

Development planning

  • Contribute to the overall B2B Digital programme

  • Capture business requirements for the Digital Platforms you are responsible for and support the translation of these into technical requirements

  • Work with business stakeholders to agree prioritisation of requirements and implementation schedules

  • Work with Business Units, IT & Canon National Sales Oorganisations (NSO) to develop future B2B strategy

  • Day to day decision making & influencing for small developments

  • Own the product backlog for your Digital Platforms and ensure it is forward looking

  • Define User Stories and clear acceptance criteria

  • Manage and prioritise defects

  • Work with Functional Application Management to resolve production issues

  • Input into other M

  • Marketing Support initiatives for the digital roadmap


  • Delivery
  • Manage all content processes for maintaining and developing the website

  • Work with publishing team to prioritise and schedule content updates

  • Manage all product/platform defects and enhancements including roadmap delivery

  • Represent the business in day-to-day development decisions

  • Coordinate testing and accept UAT deployments

  • Communicate releases outlining new business value to business stakeholders


  • Adoption
  • Drive business adoption of Digital Platform capabilities

  • Co-ordinate training with national stakeholders and L&D team

  • Use reporting data and analytics to drive business adoption and technical development

  • Undertake business development activities with Local Markets to drive further platform usage, ensuring that benefits are realised

  • Work with analytics team to analyse and visually report usage trends

  • Provide the link between Local Markets and Central team to drive Market adoption, including management of Local champion communities

  • Share best practice across Markets to maximise benefits

    Extensive international IT project management experience (SAFe / Agile methodologies)

  • Experience working with Marketing platforms

  • Working with IT delivery teams as Product Owner/Product Manager

  • Understanding of Jira and typical Agile delivery methods (e.g. SAFe or Scrum, user stories, etc)

  • 3-5 years' experience as a Digital Product Owner/Product Manager

  • 3+ years' experience working on Website ownership, Marketing Automation or Partner Portal

  • Proven track record with UX/ CX

  • Experience and understanding of working within an Agile/Scrum (SAFe) environment

  • Analytical skills, able to measure impact and identify trends

  • Demonstrable experience of working with Developers, Designers and Testing teams on the roll-out and implementation of digital / IT solutions

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a proactive approach

  • Passionate about customer experience and digital

  • The ability to set clear objectives and develop plans to meet them, Applies high standards of accuracy
