Full Job Description

Newsquest Media Group/ LOCALiQ is currently seeking a Product Executive to join our remote working team. As one of the largest regional news publishers in the UK, we reach an audience of 41 million users online each month and 7 million readers weekly in print, across a portfolio of over 250 local news brands and magazines. This provides ample opportunities for ambitious executives to join our team and work on a variety of exciting existing and new products across our brands.

We are seeking a Product Executive who is passionate about building and scaling digital media subscription products. Working within the Reader Revenue team at Newsquest, you will support the development of innovative subscription product offerings by helping to generate demand, drive customer engagement and grow sustainable reader revenues. This opportunity will be remote working but there will be the requirement to meet with the team monthly.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and execution of product initiatives in line with the key goals and objectives of the business.
  • Assist in the delivery, setup and deployment of products and processes to refine the customer journey across all customer touchpoints.
  • Design and implement robust experiments to drive and increase acquisition, and to improve retention.
  • Work effectively with key stakeholders across product management, marketing, UX and product design, analytics & insights, customer support, and technology teams.
  • Analyse and report on performance, use data to identify areas for improvement and optimisation, and help or lead in the scoping and implementation of changes.
  • Conduct research to stay up to date on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Assist with the building of and quality assurance of our complex platforms, minimising the margins for error.

Desired skills & experience

  • Experienced in working in a cross-functional remote/hybrid team environment, ideally within a subscription business.
  • Excellent data skills and familiarity with analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics etc.
  • Experience in a customer acquisition environment, a growth mindset and performance driven.
  • Familiarity with subscriptions and payment platforms such as Piano, Zuora or others
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Multi-tasker and a quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail, able to manage your workload to deadlines.
  • Ability to ideate and create plans that deliver against goals and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Highly numerate, analytical, data-driven mindset.
  • Versed in Agile product development methodologies and comfortable with technology…and technology teams.
