Full Job Description

The Health Records Department consists of six core services based over three sites, and serves all Directorates and our patients.
We are a dynamic diverse team of over one hundred staff, where patients and records always come first. We maintain a large library of over one million patient records to a high standard, from creation, scanning, validation, to destruction and everything in-between. Our approachable receptionists support the Outpatient team run smooth and efficiently striving for an excellent patient experience. And, we also have a growing Subject Access team who provides our patients and their representatives access to a copy of their records electronically, via a patient portal.
Our Digital Services team are enthusiastic and supportive of removing the need for paper, and have accepted the huge challenge of scanning all paper records so they are available at the point of care for our patients.
At present we have the following vacancy:
Maidstone Hospital
Full time position (this may include Saturday working on a rota system, working pattern will not exceed a 5-day working week)
OR
Part time positions (this may include Saturday working on a rota system, working pattern will not exceed a 5-day working week), + Accurately and comprehensively prepare patient healthcare records for forward and back scanning; to ensure documents are tracked, prepared, scanned, quality checked and uplifted to a high standard with excellent attention to detail, and in accordance to Trust Patient Documentation Scanning Policy.
+ To ensure forward scanning is processed in accordance to the Trusts SLA; and documents are available for future outpatient appointments, admissions and episodes of care to authorised Trust users.
+ To ensure all paper healthcare records are back scanned to support the Trust digital strategy; where all patient records will be available 24/7 to authorised Trust users.
+ Validate and maintain patient healthcare records, including data cleansing (misfiled document), managing multiple identification numbers, duplicate folders in accordance to Trust policy.
+ Investigate missing healthcare records in accordance with Trust policy, to support and train staff in the investigation and escalation process
