We have an exciting new opportunity for a Digital Specialist to join our Marketing team, based in the A&O Shearman Belfast office.
Supporting digital activity for our US region, this role will assist with website posting, email campaigns and the production of reports. Digital and Marketing Technology team
Our Digital and Marketing Technology team is at the forefront of revolutionizing the firm's integrated marketing information systems and digital marketing communications channels. This includes cutting-edge public and client websites, captivating email marketing campaigns, comprehensive content libraries, and engaging blogs.
Our team is the backbone of the technologies that drive core business development (BD) and marketing processes. Based in London, Belfast, New York, Munich and Sydney, the team is an integral part of the global marketing, business development, and communications function, ensuring that our innovative solutions and strategies resonate across the world.
What you will do
Working closely with the Digital Marketing and Technology team, U.S. BD teams and the central campaigns and communications teams, you will handle a range of digital activities during New York hours, including website posting (with a focus on brand and house style adherence and digital content best practice), creation of email campaigns and producing analytics reports. You will also manage a range of ad-hoc digital projects and will be responsible for workflow triaging during U.S. working hours.
This will include:
Reviewing submitted website content for house style, brand guidelines and digital best practice and posting content across our digital platforms.
Planning, advising (working with the BD and Communications teams) and executing digital marketing campaigns and insights across the range of supported platforms, providing best practice advice (including SEO).
Building mailing lists and supporting on the creation and distribution of firm-wide email campaigns, events, client alerts and announcements.
Measure the performance of digital marketing efforts using a variety of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, SiteImprove, Vuture etc.) including producing analytics reports and giving advice on how to improve campaigns in the future.
Assisting with UAT testing of new features and developments on the website.
Keeping up to date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing to help support the creation and delivery of strong, multi-channel campaigns.
Providing ad-hoc training to other users of our marketing technology systems (e.g. Sitecore, PowerBI reporting dashboards), as and when needed.
Troubleshooting issues across our marketing technology systems and liaising with senior members of the team or external system providers, as and when needed.
Ensuring any system upgrades and enhancements to our platforms are correctly tested and implemented.
Assisting on key projects, providing updates to management on a regular basis.
Performing administration duties and covering the workflow platform during U.S. hours (monitoring of Workhub requests, inboxes and answering calls).
Liaising with and supporting internal stakeholders, managing expectations in line with service agreements and A&O Shearman's strategic objectives.
Performing any other tasks and duties as may be required,.

Strong editorial and proofreading skills.
Very high attention to detail and ability to quality check own work and understand and apply style guidelines.
Advanced experience of Sitecore is advantageous. Previous experience using other CMS systems is essential.
Experience of using email marketing systems is crucial, ideally Vuture.
HTML and CSS skills are also essential.
A general background of managing digital assets and web technologies such as websites and apps.
An ability to identify and troubleshoot issues and delegate to technical colleagues or external providers if required.
Advanced experience of web analytics packages (e.g. GA4, SiteImprove) and proven experience in using data for future campaign improvement.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to confidently interact at all levels and across cultures.
Excellent organisational and project management skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
