Full Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic midwife who can demonstrate an understanding of how digital technology can support safer care. This post is a national drive within the maternity transformation programme for a digital midwife to provide leadership, coordination, facilitation, evaluation, and improvement across the digital maternity work streams.
The role will support the design and implementation of national digital programmes, oversee the tracking of progress against digital transformation plans and develop a networked approach to enable digital transformation. They will also play a part in supporting NHSX to achieve its five missions, which include reducing the burden on staff, giving people the tools, they need to access information, ensuring safety and improving productivity.
The post holder will act as an autonomous, accountable practitioner working on their own initiative and in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team but visible to the staff and working alongside midwives in their day-to-day settings., This post is aimed at a registered midwife with data management and informatics skills, to assist with the maternity digital transformation programme at the Royal London Hospital which will support health and care services to improve the outcomes for pregnant women and address health inequalities. As an ambassador of the Midwifery profession, will ensure clinical practice, supported by digital technology, meets professional standards.
The role will support the design and implementation of national digital programmes, oversee the tracking of progress against digital transformation plans and develop a networked approach to enable digital transformation. They will also play a part in supporting NHS England to achieve its five digital missions, which include reducing the burden on staff, giving people the tools, they need to access information, ensuring safety and improving productivity.
The post holder will act as an autonomous, accountable practitioner working within the existing digital team and in collaboration with the wider multi-disciplinary team. They will be visible to staff and available to provide informatics support to midwives in their day-to-day settings.
This role will further support the digital agenda within the Better Births and Long-Term Plan Reports which include driving forward the digital transformation of health and social care including progressing the quality of maternity dataset.
