In this role, you'll work closely with the Lead Digital Midwife to support the ongoing enhancement of our Maternity Information System, ensuring high standards of data quality that underpin safe and effective care.

It is important that you understand and to refer to our values when completing your application and always reflect our values throughout your employment with the Trust., Be an expert clinician in the use and management of the Maternity Information System (EuroKing) and act as a clinical partner with the IT clinical systems team for timely troubleshooting.
Assist with the development and ongoing support of the Maternity Information System, including monitoring of data quality and ensuring that maternity data is accurately captured, processed, and used for service improvement and audit purposes.
Contribute to system configuration and enhancements, collaborating with clinical teams, IT and system suppliers to ensure systems meet the needs of the service and enhancing clinical workflows.
Provide digital peer support to clinical staff, helping to resolve and signpost issues.
Support the development and management of the maternity service's social media presence, collaborating with the communications team to ensure that content promotes safe and engaging messaging for patients and staff.
Deputise for the Lead Digital Midwife when necessary, ensuring continuity in leadership and support during system updates, clinical meetings, teaching or audits.

This includes the promotion of flexible working opportunities across the Trust, As a Digital Support Midwife for Medway NHS Foundation Trust you will utilise your midwifery skills and knowledge to keep birthing people and service users at the centre of digital health and transformation. You will play a crucial role in supporting the digital agenda within the maternity services, assisting and deputising for the Lead Digital Midwife.
You will assist with the ongoing enhancements and maintenance of the maternity information system, ensuring high data quality standards, including regular management and analysis of maternity data. You will also have the opportunity to play a key role in planning and implementation of any future maternity information system.
You will be involved in teaching and training, to improve digital skills and capability in the workforce and advocate for the user experience and clinical safety. Your role will involve a variety of digital technologies and processes in maternity, but also some involvement with other digital programmes within the hospital. You will be involved with the development and updates to the maternity social media and the hospital website.
This position requires you to work closely and visibly within the multidisciplinary team, offering guidance and support as needed. You will also deputise in representing the maternity department and the Trust to external agencies such as the LMNS and ICB, acting as a supportive and positive role model.
You will be supported to gain initial insight and experience. This role will ensure there is comprehensive representation for the maternity digital agenda by having both lead and support functionality. It offers flexibility and the opportunity to work creatively in a small team as well as
on your own initiative.

Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 per annum
