What will you be doing on the apprenticeship? As a User Experience & Design Apprentice you'll collaborate with technical, editorial and product teams from across the BBC, to create enjoyable experiences that delight and are consistent across old and new media. This will give you the opportunity to experience the wide range of roles that are possible in the BBC and provide you with a vast experience that will help you find the area that best suits your skills and interests to grow your career in the BBC. What will you be studying? You'll study for an industry recognised apprenticeship qualification and a degree in Digital User Experience (UX) Professional with Manchester Metropolitan University. You'll complete specialist modules such as:

• UX origins and applications
• UX human contexts
• UX practices
• Creativity through research
• Ethical considerations in UX
• Psychology and behaviour
• UX in the business
• Research methods
• UX futures, This scheme starts in September 2025, and you will be on a fixed term contract which means your contract is for the duration of the apprenticeship only. The duration of this scheme is 48 months., Apprentices starting at BBC from September 2025 will be placed on a 'Fixed Term' contract. This means your contract is for the duration of your apprenticeship only. • Can manage multiple deadlines and demands on your time, By the start of the apprenticeship in September 2025, have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for a minimum of 3 years.
• Be eligible to work in the UK full time for the duration of the apprenticeship contract.
• Not currently taking part in an apprenticeship scheme supported by the BBC or another organisation.
To apply for this scheme, you must also:
• Have achieved, or expected to achieve, by the start of the scheme, a minimum of 104 UCAS points from a combination of Level 3 qualifications which may include: A-levels, Advanced Apprenticeship, BTEC Diplomas or Extended Diplomas.
• Not have completed or hold qualifications in the apprenticeship subject at level 6 or higher
To complete the apprenticeship, you must have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above or National 5 (Scotland) at C or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent qualification. If you have not achieved these qualifications by the start of your apprenticeship, you will be required to achieve Functional Skills Level 2 before the end of your apprenticeship when you take your end-point assessment.
