Full Job Description

Direct, lead, manage and support the team of Facilities Managers delivering total facilities management and programme support across their sites of responsibility.
Assure delivery of services offered by the Soft Facilities suppliers including cleaning, catering, retail services and all other enabling contracts.
Manage production and regular review of appropriate work plans in accordance with local budgets to deliver programmes and financial commitments, whilst meeting changing operational needs.
Agree scope and priorities of work with local establishment representatives, agree outline plans and review management and tasks on a regular basis.
Plan, direct and co-ordinate operational activities ensuring efficiency and value for money.
Collate information and prepare reports for mandated weekly and monthly establishment meetings.
Carry out proactive contract management to ensure goods and services are delivered within the agreed contractual arrangements and KPIs.
Provide assurance that the supplier's contractual responsibilities and internal quality procedures, including management reporting, development, budget, forecasting and financial control are adhered to.
Proactively manage all works through clear and effective direction, delegation and sound decision making.
Support the delivery of in-year programme of work including technical, financial and commercial/value for money checks, in line with contractual requirements.
Carry out the appropriate level of risk management in accordance with the DIO Risk Management Policy. This will include the reporting contract defects and early warnings.
Maintain strong and collaborative relationships to provide the continued level of support need on the diverse MOD estate in support of Defence programmes.
Support and participate in a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensure regular engagement with Heads of Establishments (and the customer base) and collaborative working with our suppliers and all stakeholders.
Assure and monitor service delivery of all maintenance and response works in accordance with statutory legislation, Health, Safety and Environmental standards and policies and mandatory requirements.
Provide advice and support for the management and mitigation of risk to Heads of Establishment where statutory and mandatory compliance of assets is not possible.
